1st IYCND: Presentations:

The conference consisted of 4 parts and the presentations were concentrated on the issues described bellow:

1. National Culture and Democracy will focus on the issues of possible contradictions between national culture, normative-value system in s specific society and the ways of democratization.
2. Youth and Democracy is to focus on the issues of youth role and participation in the processes of democratization of any society.
3. Education and Democracy is to discuss the ways of developing critical thinking and democratic education and to answer the question if democratic education can contradict with local culture.
4. Nationalism, Cosmopolitism and Democracy. In most societies nationalism and cosmopolitism sustain with each other and understanding their dialogue is very crucial in understanding the core values of democracy in those societies.
